Feras Al Shawaf
Senior Partner Feras is the Senior Partner of Alshawaf Law, and is based in it's principal office in Riyadh. Feras has been practicing law since 1997. He is a Saudi national who obtained his LLB from King Saud University in 1995 and his LLM from Case Western Reserve University, USA.
Feras advises with respect to major transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. He specialises in consultation, litigation and arbitration in the fields of intellectual property, labour law, administration, commercial and international law. He has represented multiple international companies in infringement and counterfeiting cases.
Feras is a member of the Saudi Arabian Bar, the Arbitration Committee of the GCC and is a lecturer of law at Prince Sultan University, Riyadh. Feras is fluent in English and Arabic.

Paul Fitzgerald
Solicitor Paul is a senior corporate solicitor at Alshawaf Law, and is based in the firm's Riyadh office. Paul qualified as a solicitor in New Zealand in 1993 and, subsequently, in Singapore in 1999.
In Saudi Arabia, Paul advises clients on a range of corporate matters including securities issues under the Capital Market Law and its associated regulations; mergers and acquisitions; and broad-based advice on issues under Saudi Arabian laws, including the Companies Act, Competition Act, Procurement Law, Labour Law and Telecom Act and its related by-laws.
Paul also assists clients on corporate restructurings, both solvent and insolvent

Anwar Ouazzani
Lawyer Anwar is a senior commercial and litigation lawyer, based in Alshawaf Law's Riyadh office. Anwar has qualified in New York and in Texas.
In Saudi Arabia, Anwar acts for Saudi public sector lenders, as well as private parties, regarding complex commercial matters and public procurement contracts. Anwar advises his clients on a range of corporate matters and has assisted clients with large acquisitions, transfer and divestment of assets and joint ventures. Although his role focuses on non-contentious commercial matters, Anwar has also advises clients in connection with large construction disputes.

Sardar Abbas Khan
Lawyer Abbas is a mid-level lawyer at Alshawaf Law, on secondment from Trowers & Hamlins. Abbas is based in the firm's Riyadh office. Abbas was awarded his post-graduate BCL from Oxford University and now specialises in advising on a range corporate matters.
Abbas also has wide experience of banking and finance matters. Abbas has a detailed understanding of the regulatory aspects of securities markets and financial instruments used in Saudi Arabia.

Tariq Taha
Lawyer Tariq is the head of our Intellectual Property department, and is based in the Riyadh office. Tareq obtained his Law degree from University of Cairo in 1987 and started his career as a legal advisor to the Ministry of Commerce, Sudan. He has also worked in diverse fields of Saudi law after coming to Saudi Arabia in 1990. Tareq’s specialisation involves handling litigation cases, consultancy matters, registration of patents, designs, copyright and trademarks and related disputes. He is well versed in all aspects of commercial, labour and civil law.
